Dr Sunil V Furtado is a senior consultant neurosurgeon in Bangalore with over 17 years experience in Neurosurgery. After MBBS and specialising in General surgery from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, he secured the MCh degree in Neurosurgery from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum ; an Institute of national importance under the Central Government ministry of Science and Technology. He worked for 9 years at the Sri Sathya Sai Institute for Higher Medical Sciences at Whitefield, Bangalore During his stay, he was actively involved with neuro-oncology projects with the Indian Institute of Science and CSIR and focused on brain tumours
